What's the Sound?

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-17

1. About the service

What's the Sound? ("WTS") is a web-based multiplayer music guessing game that uses MIDI files for the audio experience. The service is offered free of charge and intended for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility

The service is intended for people aged 13 and over. Users below that age must have authorization from a legal guardian, consistent with Brazilian LGPD and Marco Civil da Internet guidelines.

3. Account and identity

You can play without an account as a guest or create one via Google or Discord. By choosing a nickname you agree not to use offensive, discriminatory, or impersonating terms. Inappropriate nicknames may be altered or removed by moderation.

You may request complete deletion of your account at any time by emailing guiponsoni@gmail.com. Deletion is completed within 30 days.

4. Player-generated content

Guesses typed in chat, messages, and nicknames are the full responsibility of the player who submits them. WTS may apply automatic filters and remove content deemed abusive, spam, or illegal, without prior notice.

5. MIDI catalog and copyright

The catalog is curated to include only MIDIs falling into one of the following categories: original compositions, public-domain works, works licensed under Creative Commons, or works individually licensed by their rights holders.

If you identify a file that violates your copyright, send a removal request to guiponsoni@gmail.com with title, artist, URL of the claim, and proof of ownership. We process these requests within 7 business days.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the service;
  • circumvent scoring, XP, or streak mechanisms;
  • exploit service vulnerabilities for destructive purposes;
  • reproduce, redistribute, or commercialize the WTS code or catalog.

7. Modifications and termination

We may change these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email (for accounts) or via an in-site banner. Continued use after the notice constitutes acceptance. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The venue of São Paulo/SP is elected to resolve any disputes.
